EDIT: Our machine shop is up and running!
Anyone that owns a modern high-performance four-stroke off-road bike knows that the cylinder head and parts don’t last very long if you run them hard. One of the things we struggled with over the years was finding an engine machine shop that could handle the machining needs of the cylinder heads that needed repair on our customer bikes. For us, quality is always the priority. We found quality machine shops that could handle our work, but it always required mail ordering the stuff out to them and back. The turnaround time was just way too long, especially in the heart of the season. How do you tell a customer who is itching to ride and enjoy their machine that it will be multiple weeks to get their bike back? That was not acceptable for us.
Iconic Performance Cycle is now in the process of building a new, bigger, and better facility in Newfoundland, NJ in which we will be able to take on all of our existing services, but now also be able to do cylinder head machine work, rebuilding, and modifications in house. No more being at the mercy of two-directional shipping and someone else’s schedule. This service will also be available as a mail-order or drop-off service for the DIYers out there who want to work on their own bikes and just have us do the machine work. We are bringing in all new and state-of-the-art ultra-high precision tools and equipment to offer our customers the highest quality craftsmanship and reliability.
